A progressive activist group has organized a “Big LGBTQ Dance Party” to greet Vice President Mike Pence in Ohio this week.

Progress Ohio says it has drag queens and like-minded activists headed to Columbus’ Renaissance Hotel on Friday, which just so happens to be where Mr. Pence will deliver a presentation called “Tax Cuts to Put America First.”

“Ohioans will protest Vice President Mike Pence … by dancing outside the hotel and performances including DJs and drag queens,” the group said in a press release, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Wednesday.

A lookalike of the vice president known as “Mike Hot-Pence” will also be in attendance, activists added on Facebook Thursday.

“We serve as a coalition partner to hundreds of mission-aligned groups operating out of the state of Ohio,” Progress Ohio states on its website. “Our mission is to promote progressive solutions, correct right-wing misinformation, and hold public leaders accountable, helping to make an Ohio that works for everyone.”

The Hill noted that a similar event was held outside Mr. Pence’s rental home in Washington prior to President Trump’s inauguration.
