TOWSON, Md. (AP) - Brian Dawkins and Dmitri Thompson scored 20 points apiece and Tyler Seibring added 17 points and eight rebounds to power Elon to an 83-76 victory over Towson on Saturday.

Dawkins and Thompson combined to shoot 16 of 25 from the floor for the Phoenix (13-10, 5-5 Colonial Athletic Association), who picked up their first road win over the Tigers (15-8, 5-5) in four tries.

Elon, second in the conference in made 3-pointers per game at 10.6, buried 12 of 26 attempts (46 percent). Towson, which had topped 90 points in three of its last four games, shot 41 percent from the floor (26 of 64). The Tigers shot just 23 percent in the first half and trailed 41-22 at intermission.

Zane Martin did his best to shoot Towson back into the game, scoring 30 of his 32 points in the second half. Martin had 23 of the Tigers final 29 points and his layup pulled them within 77-72 with 47 seconds remaining. But Dainan Swoope went 6-for-6 at the free-throw line in the final 30 seconds and the Phoenix held on.
