PHOENIX (AP) - The Latest on a multivehicle wreck in Phoenix (all times local):

6:45 p.m.

Authorities say two people have died and three others are hospitalized with critical or serious injuries after a three-vehicle crash at a Phoenix intersection.

Phoenix Fire Department officials say a woman driving one car and a man behind the wheel of another vehicle died of their injuries Wednesday after being taken to hospitals.

They say the other woman driver remains in serious condition along with a juvenile girl passenger.

A man who was a passenger in one car was seriously injured.

No names have been released and police still are trying to determine the cause of the 9:45 a.m. crash.

11:45 a.m.

The Phoenix Fire Department says five people were critically or seriously injured in a multivehicle wreck at an intersection.

The department says a man and two women were in extremely critical condition with life-threatening injuries and that they were all in different vehicles.

Two other women in one vehicle were listed in stable but serious condition.

The crash occurred late Wednesday morning at North 67th Avenue and West Thomas Road.

Authorities say three people are in extremely critical condition following a crash at a northwest Phoenix intersection.

The crash occurred late Wednesday morning at North 67th Avenue and West Thomas Road and involved at least two vehicles.

Fire Capt. Jake Van Hook says initial reports indicate that the three people said to be in extremely critical condition are among five people being evaluated for medical treatment.
