COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A Greenville jurist has won a second term to South Carolina’s highest court.

State lawmakers on Wednesday voted to give Justice John Kittredge another 10-year term on the South Carolina Supreme Court. Kittredge had no opposition.

Kittredge was first elected to the high court in 2008. He previously served on the state Court of Appeals, as well as a judge in family and circuit courts.

The graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law was a judicial law clerk, has been an attorney in private practice and has served with various entities including the Governor’s Juvenile Justice Task Force and the Greenville Technical College Foundation.
