Comedian Jimmy Fallon is being accused of going “full Kimmel” with the announcement that he’ll be attending a gun-control march with teenagers from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The host of “The Tonight Show” show will take a political page from competitor Jimmy Kimmel next month when he participates in the “March for Our Lives” in Washington.
The announcement was made during Monday’s broadcast and posted to social media shortly afterward.
“I think what the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School are doing is unbelievable,” Mr. Fallon said. “They’re speaking out with more guts, passion, conviction and common sense than most adults. They’re high school students — it’s beyond impressive — the strength that they have is inspiring. They’re angry and they are doing something about it and creating change. This is a real revolution.”

The comedian then said that his family would march along students to show them support.
“To everyone of you who is speaking out — thank you,” he said. “I’ll see you March 24.”
The Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, along with others, likened the move to the partisan politics regularly displayed by Mr. Kimmel.
“Oh good, so now Fallon is going to go Full Kimmel,” Mr. Shapiro tweeted.
“You went full-Kimmel, man. Never go full-Kimmel,” added another with a meme of actor Robert Downey Jr. as “Kirk Lazarus” in the 2008 film “Tropic Thunder.”
“Fallon, Please do not go full Kimmel! [The] Second Amendment is here to stay. It’s the operator not the gun,” replied a third person.
Mr. Fallon’s decision comes in response to the Feb. 14 shooting massacre in Parkside, Florida.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, was arrested on the scene and faces 17 counts of premeditated murder.
