CONCHO, Ariz. (AP) - The Latest on a fatal Arizona shooting (all times local):

Authorities say a 14-year-old boy sought in the shooting death of a woman in eastern Arizona has been taken into custody.

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office said the teen is a suspect in the killing of 54-year-old TerriLynne Collins during a struggle at her family’s getaway property and future retirement home. Deputies said they took the teen into custody without incident Wednesday evening.

Phoenix-area lawyer Ernest Collins says he was on the phone with his wife who had called him as she went to a trailer on the rural property 160 miles northeast of Phoenix in response to a text for help from the couple’s 18-year-old daughter.

A Phoenix-area lawyer says he was on the phone with his wife when she was killed during an encounter with an intruder at the family’s get-away and future retirement home in eastern Arizona.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says 14-year-old Joshua Cade Richardson is a suspect in the killing of 54-year-old TerriLynne Collins early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred in the rural community of Concho, about 160 miles (257 kilometers) northeast of Phoenix.

Attorney Ernest Collins Jr. says his wife was killed while struggling with the intruder after she went to a trailer on the property in response to a text for help from the couple’s 18-year-old daughter.

Collins says his wife called him before she went to the trailer and that he was able to hear much of what happened during the fatal encounter.

Authorities are looking for a 14-year-old homicide suspect in rural eastern Arizona after the Apache County Sheriff’s Office found the victim while responding to a reported burglary.

The state Department of Public Safety says Joshua Cade Richardson is a suspect in the killing of a person found dead Tuesday in a residence in Concho, a small community located 158 miles (254 kilometers) northeast of Phoenix.

The youth is described as 5-foot-6, 135 pounds with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans. He’s also described as having acne and a scar on his right forearm.

The DPS says the victim lived in the residence but the victim’s identify and additional information about the circumstances of the killing weren’t released.
