CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Four sea turtles are being returned to the Atlantic Ocean after being treated at the South Carolina Aquarium.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported three loggerhead turtles and one Kemp’s ridley turtle will be released Tuesday afternoon at the Isle of Palms County Park.

The release is being coordinated with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

Officials with the Charleston aquarium say the release is expected to be the last one of the year because of sea water temperatures.

Officials say one of the loggerhead’s had a fishing hook stuck in its mouth. Another had been bitten by a shark and the third was just sick when they were brought to the aquarium for treatment.
