President Trump said Thursday that China’s diplomatic efforts are not persuading North Korea’s leader to scale back his missile program, with its highest launch yet this week.
“The Chinese Envoy, who just returned from North Korea, seems to have had no impact on Little Rocket Man,” Mr. Trump tweeted in a reference to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. “Hard to believe his people, and the military, put up with living in such horrible conditions. Russia and China condemned the launch.”
Mr. Kim apparently didn’t meet with China’s envoy recently when the diplomat visited Pyongyang.
In an aside in a speech on Wednesday, Mr. Trump called Mr. Kim “little rocket man” and “a sick puppy.”
