MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have identified three people who died after a big rig crashed into a pickup truck near the town of Maricopa, south of Phoenix.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the collision occurred Wednesday afternoon on State Route 347.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials released the names of the victims on Thursday.
They say 24-year-old Juanna Molina, 33-year-old Ray Molina and 18-year-old Dominic Dixon all died at the scene.
A fourth person inside the pickup survived and was taken at a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the big rig wasn’t hurt.
Authorities say it appears the driver of the pickup lost control and rolled the vehicle before it was T-boned by the big rig.
Maricopa is located about 35 miles south of Phoenix.
