Kobe Bryant reached out to Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas after the death of Thomas’ sister. On Wednesday, Thomas said Bryant has helped go over game film in the NBA playoffs.

“He’s been a big help since Game 2 [against the Bulls],” Thomas told ESPN. “We actually watched film together on the phone for 30 minutes. He was going over my film with me and teaching me the things that he looks at when watching film.”

The two have even FaceTimed, Thomas said. Despite being on the Celtics, Thomas said he has always admired Bryant. Thomas said he has heard from Kevin Garnett, Floyd Mayweather and Tom Brady as well.

Thomas scored 53 points in Game 2 against the Wizards, and Washington needs to find a way to stop him.

Someone get Michael Jordan on the phone for John Wall.
