NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - As many as 15 Air Force cargo jets will take part in a joint military exercise with paratroopers from Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported (https://bit.ly/2rUDx9Y) that C-17 cargo jets form the 437th and 315th airlift wings will take off from Joint Base Charleston on Thursday morning and will pick up troops at Pope Field at Fort Bragg.

Paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division and their equipment will be picked up and then dropped to simulate “a forcible entry” mission.

The exercise is being coordinated with the Charleston County Aviation Authority and is not expected to cause any delays for any regularly scheduled flights at Charleston International Airport.
