The White House press corps had ruffled feathers Wednesday after the Russia’s state-owned news agency published photographs of President Trump’s meeting with the Russian foreign minister that was closed to the U.S. media.
The Russian news agency TASS published photos of the Oval Office meeting between Mr. Trump and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, prompting questions from the White House press corps about why the U.S. media was shut out of the event.
A White House official explained, “Our official photographer and their official photographer were present, that’s it.”
