President Donald Trump said Monday that “any negative polls are fake news” and that he calls his “own shots.”

“Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting,” Mr. Trump tweeted.

“I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it. Some FAKE NEWS media, in order to marginalize, lies!” he also tweeted.

It is unclear which polls Mr. Trump was referring to; surveys have been mixed on the White House’s recent immigration executive order that a federal judge temporarily halted late last week.

The tweets also come on the heels of a New York Times report that discussed the varying degrees of influence held by White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, top strategist Stephen K. Bannon, policy adviser Stephen Miller and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law.
