MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - JaCorey Williams had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead Middle Tennessee to a dominating 70-55 win over Charlotte on Saturday night.
Middle Tennessee (22-4, 12-1 Conference USA) which suffered its only league loss, falling to UTEP 57-54 last Saturday, roared back to beat Old Dominion 64-51 on Thursday.
Middle Tennessee, which had won 10 straight before losing at UTEP, had little trouble with Charlotte, leading 33-24 at the break. The Blue Raiders never trailed in the second half, pushing their advantage to 56-40 with 7:11 remaining.
Giddy Potts had 17 points with six rebounds and two steals and Reggie Upshaw added 14 points for the Blue Raiders who made 29 of 64 (45 percent) from the floor while limiting Charlotte to 20-of-52 (39 percent) shooting.
Middle Tennessee picked up 15 points off of 12 Charlotte turnovers.
Najee Garvin and Jon Davis had 13 points apiece for Charlotte (11-13, 5-8).
