PHOENIX (AP) - The Latest on an explosion at a Phoenix home that left one person dead and one badly hurt (all times local):

The Phoenix Fire Department says crews have extinguished a blaze at a home that exploded after an apparent gas leak and left one person dead and one critically hurt.
Thursday morning’s explosion just east of downtown also damaged a neighboring home.
Fire Department spokesman Capt. Jake Van Hook says the mother a three children who lived in the home are safe.
The cause of Thursday morning’s explosion hasn’t been determined. But a new gas stove and an empty box are sitting in front of the destroyed home by a delivery truck for a local appliance company.
Without confirming its employees were those involved, Spencer’s TV & Appliance general manager Roy Hannah issued a statement saying they are “deeply saddened by the tragedy that took place today” and are praying for the family and friends of the victim.

The Phoenix Fire Department says one person is dead and a second critically injured after a natural gas explosion destroyed a house just east of downtown.
Fire Department spokesman Capt. Jake Van Hook says fire has spread to a second home and the gas leak is still burning at the first house. Gas company crews are headed to the scene.
The cause of Thursday morning’s explosion hasn’t been determined but a new gas stove and an empty box are sitting in front of the destroyed home in video and a photo provided by the fire department. Nearby is a new gas line to hook up the stove.

Phoenix Firefighters have completely extinguished the house fire at this address. Extension to the other homes has also been extinguished. Phoenix Haz Mat Crews have worked with Southwest Gas from the early parts of this incident and did not find any migrating gas. Firefighters did find a large propane tank on the property. Southwest Gas reported to Haz Mat teams that they have not provided service to this address for several years. Fire investigators who are on scene have reported that the residents who live at the house have been accounted for. Investigators will continue to work to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
