SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The Latest on three people shot at a popular San Francisco park (all times local):

7:15 p.m.

A man who witnessed a shooting at a busy San Francisco park says it happened after about half a dozen men started shouting and acting threateningly on a park’s bridge.

He says some of the men wore bandannas that covered all but their eyes.

The man identified himself to the San Francisco Chronicle (https://bit.ly/2upRn54) only as Hatter. He says several park regulars confronted the group and that he approached them to make sure everything was OK.

He says that as he got close someone shouted that the group had guns and a second later one of the men pulled out a handgun and fired at least six rounds.

Hatter says two people directly behind him were struck by bullets.

He says he escaped with only an injury, possibly from “shrapnel,” to his leg.
