After the attack on the CIA compound in Benghazi, President Obama had to cover his behind, and quick. Overnight, he and his advisers evidently came up with the lie that the attack had been in response to a very little-known YouTube video.

Then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was assigned the task of making the Sunday-talk-show rounds to spread the lie. But she refused to do it, so adviser Susan Rice threw herself on her sword. Ms. Rice didn’t care that it was a lie. She simply followed orders. Once the story was out there, Mrs. Clinton gladly spread the lie. But she was not about to be the first one to tell it.

This means Susan Rice is less honest than Hillary Clinton. I didn’t think that was possible.
