PHOENIX (AP) - City officials are holding a ceremony for the groundbreaking of a mixed-use development project in downtown Phoenix.

KTAR-FM reports (https://bit.ly/2oYcAEq) the groundbreaking ceremony for the mixed-use development called Block 23 is scheduled for Thursday. The space will feature a Fry’s grocery store, 330 apartments and 200,000 square feet (18580.45 sq. meters) of office space and restaurant and retail uses.

Phoenix commercial real estate company RED Development is leading the project. The city of Phoenix has given $18.3 million to the project.

The grocery store is expected to be completed by 2019.
