OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A 33-year-old man released from prison in March has been fatally wounded in an Omaha shooting.

Police say Markus Walker was shot around 12:30 p.m. Sunday in northeast Omaha. Officer Michael Pecha (PEH’-kuh) says Walker was pronounced dead later at Creighton University Medical Center.

No arrests have been reported.

Nebraska Correctional Services Department say Walker was released in March after being convicted of being a murder accessory in a March 2011 Omaha shooting.
