RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is preparing to lead a more than week-long trade and marketing mission to the Pacific Rim.

The Democratic governor will leave Sunday for the trip that will take him to Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Australia. He is expected to return Nov. 22.

He will be joined by First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe, Secretary of Commerce and Trade Todd Haymore, Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Basil Gooden, and other officials.

McAuliffe’s office says the group will meet with senior business executives and government officials to promote Virginia products and tourism assets.

The delegation is expected to attend nearly 60 meetings. It will also host four receptions to tout Virginia’s agriculture and economic strengths, among other things.
