Bloomberg Politics has compiled a “super cut” of video footage where former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson’s physical appearance was commented on by male colleagues.
“The compilation comes a day after the former Fox News anchor filed a sexual harassment lawsuit in which she claims she was let go for rebuffing Roger Ailes’ sexual advances,” noted the Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.
The vast majority of the comments in the compilation were from Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy, both of whom co-hosted “Fox & Friends” with Ms. Carlson for several years.
In addition to claiming that Fox News executive Roger Ailes pressured her to have sex with him, Ms. Carlson said in a statement to the media that Mr. Doocy was “sexist and condescending” and that she was often the target of “disparaging treatment in the newsroom.”
In many of the clips in the Bloomberg montage, Ms. Carlson appears annoyed at her male colleagues, with what seem to be passive-aggressive quips about how they are sexist or in violation of company sexual-harassment policies.
“HR’s on the phone because you called me a skirt,” Ms. Carlson is shown saying to Mr. Kilmeade in one exchange. “Yeah, I apologize,” the anchor and sports reporter replied. “Yeah, OK,” shot back Carlson. “I need to read that manual again,” Mr. Kilmeade added. “I’ll bring it to your office right after the show,” Ms. Carlson shot back.
In another exchange with Mr. Kilmeade, the male “Fox & Friends” co-host asked Ms. Carlson, “Doesn’t waxing hurt?”
“Uh, he looks at me for that,” an exasperated Ms. Carlson said to the camera.
