Rock star Mick Jagger, already a great-grandfather, is set to become a dad again at age 72, reported the British tabloid The Sun on Thursday.

Mr. Jagger’s girlfriend of two years, 29-year-old American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, is about 3 months pregnant. The baby would be the Rolling Stones front man’s eighth child and Ms. Hamrick’s first.

Mr. Jagger became a great-grandfather two years ago when granddaughter Assisi Jackson gave birth to a girl. Ms. Jackson is a few years younger than Ms. Hamrick.

“The plan is for Melanie to move out of New York and be based in L.A., where Mick spends a lot of time, or Connecticut where she knows people,” an anonymous source told The Sun.  “In reality, Melanie was coming toward the end of her career as a ballet dancer but has now had to give it up even earlier than planned.”

The Rolling Stones wrap up their Zip Code tour on Friday in Quebec City and will return on tour in October, with three concerts scheduled thus far: two in Indio, California, and one in Las Vegas.
