Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida released a new television ad Tuesday saying that President Obama’s plan after the San Bernardino attack is to “take away our guns” as the 2016 GOP presidential contender lists a host of overseas issues facing the U.S. and says America needs a president “who will keep us safe.”

“Barack Obama released terrorists from Guantanamo, and now they’re plotting to attack us,” Mr. Rubio says in the 30-second ad. “Instead of fighting to fund our troops, he fights to fund Planned Parenthood. He spies on Israel, and cut a deal with Iran.

“His plan after the attack in San Bernardino: take away our guns,” Mr. Rubio says in the ad, which was released by his campaign on the same day the president announced his long-anticipated executive actions on gun control.

“And while ISIS is beheading people and burning them in cages, he says climate change is our greatest threat,” Mr. Rubio continues in the direct-to-camera spot, referring to the Islamic State terrorist group.

Mr. Rubio concludes by saying that “America needs a real commander in chief and a president who will keep us safe.”
