Former President Bill Clinton had some quick responses for a Donald Trump supporter who interrupted him in Florida as he campaigned for his wife, Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Clinton was playing campaign surrogate for his wife at a capacity campaign event Monday in Riviera Beach when a man in the crowd took off his shirt to reveal a Donald Trump T-shirt underneath, ABC News reported.

The man waved a Trump campaign sign back and forth and yelled, “You took his money!”

“I certainly did,” Mr. Clinton retorted. “I took his money for my foundation and used it better than he’s using it now, I’ll guarantee you.”

“Here’s what I want to say to you about this,” he told the crowd. “I remember when he called me to say how terrible the Republicans were being to me and Hillary and how unfair they were and what a brilliant job Hillary did as a senator.”

As the protester was escorted out of the event, the former president added: “If you want to build a wall on the Rio Grande River and you want to send the 11 million immigrants home, then you should follow him like Moses into the Promised Land.”

Mr. Trump has been a regular donor to the Clinton Foundation. His last donation was between $100,000 and $250,000 in 2014, ABC News reported.
