DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Three people have been arrested following a brief high-speed car chase in Des Moines that also caused injuries.

Des Moines Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Parizek says officers stopped a Jeep Friday afternoon after receiving a tip about suspicious activity involving the vehicle. A car chase ensued after a suspect in the vehicle fled by foot.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/2ioHYpO ) the car chase lasted about a minute before the Jeep turned onto a one-way street and struck an SUV. The driver of the SUV received minor injuries and at least one suspect in the fleeing Jeep was hurt.

Police say they’ve made three arrests in the case. Complete details about three reported injuries are not available.
