The U.S. military is working to evacuate about 100 special operations forces members out of the Al Anad air base in Yemen due to the crumbling security at the base.
The troops being evacuated are the last American forces stationed in Yemen, a hotbed of terrorism and home to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, sources familiar with the situation told CNN on Saturday.
The Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for two bombings at shiite mosques in Yemen, killing 137 people.
