Former Navy SEAL and NRA News contributor Dom Raso released a video on Wednesday skewering former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the time she claimed to have dodged sniper fire in Tuzla, Bosnia, in 1996.

“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base. But it was a moment of great pride for me,” Mrs. Clinton said in 2008.

After video footage revealed that the former first lady was not dodging sniper fire, she apologized.

“So I made a mistake. That happens. It proves I’m human, which, you know, for some people, is a revelation,” she said, Reuters reported on March 25, 2008.

Mr. Raso said Wednesday that while the media continues to focus on the war story fabrications of suspended NBC anchor Brian Williams, coverage should instead be given to Mrs. Clinton.

“What makes this truly disgusting to me is that when she was called on it, she dismissed it like it was no big deal. Only someone completely arrogant, ignorant and disrespectful of what really happens in war could say something like that,” Mr. Raso said.

“I’ve seen sniper fire, and there’s nothing casual, nothing small and nothing ordinary about fighting for your life on the battlefield. […] In my 12-year military career, I never heard an excuse like that from my leadership. It’s impossible to even imagine that happening,” he added.
