The St. Louis County Police Department is appealing for the public’s help after releasing nearly 200 photos of alleged looters on the night a grand jury decided not to indict the police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown.
The photos were taken from surveillance video shot Nov. 24 at the Dellwood Market on Chambers Road, CNN reported.
The suspects smashed their way into the store and spent several minutes inside stealing liquor and other goods before fleeing.
The store’s owner said he was home watching the looting live on his surveillance system.
“My dad has had this place for 25 years,” said Jan Lalani, 33, who took over the market about a year ago, CNN reported. “It’s been his livelihood for a long time.”
Mr. Lalani said that three instances of looting since Brown’s death have caused roughly $300,000 in damage to his business.
