Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida says in a new television ad that President Obama is more respectful to the ayatollah of Iran than Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as the 2016 GOP presidential contender lists the threats currently facing the United States around the world.
“Today, we face ever growing threats: radical Islamic terror, a lunatic in North Korea, a gangster in Moscow, and a president more respectful to the ayatollah of Iran than the prime minister of Israel,” Mr. Rubio says in the 30-second spot releasedWednesday.
“Our allies don’t trust us. Our enemies don’t fear us. And the world doesn’t know where America stands,” Mr. Rubio says. “On day one of my presidency that will change.”
Mr. Rubio’s campaign said the ad will start airing Wednesday in New Hampshire, and that it will also air in other early states.
