A poll-lagging Jeb Bush showed a little fight Tuesday night at the fifth Republican presidential debate by attacking front-runner Donald Trump as the “chaos” candidate.

“Trump is great at one-liners, but he’s a chaos candidate,” Mr. Bush insisted.

“And he’d be a chaos president. He would not be the commander in chief we need to keep our country safe.”

Mr. Trump fired right back in his typical blunt style.

“He has failed in this campaign, it’s been a total disaster. Nobody cares,” Mr. Trump said.

In a later exchange with Trump, Bush quipped: “You’re not gonna be able to insult your way to the presidency. That’s not gonna happen.”
