Five Democratic and Republican senators have pulled together on a bill that offers a $10 million reward for information leading to the capture of the Islamic State terrorists who beheaded the two American journalists.

The bill specifically orders the the State Department to authorize the reward money, The Hill reported.

Islamic State terrorists beheaded James Foley and Steven Sotloff in widely publicized videos.

“This bill is a symbol of our commitment to their parents that America will not rest until justice is served, and let it serve as a clear message to ISIL that we will stop at nothing to ensure the deaths of these beloved journalists do not go unpunished,” said Sen. Marco Rubio, in a statement, The Hill reported.

Democratic Sens. Bill Nelson and Jeanne Shaheen joined as cosponsors, as did fellow Republican Sens. Ted Cruz and Kelly Ayotte.

The United States has paid out $125 million of State Department Rewards for Justice Program monies since 1984, The Hill reported.
