Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s fundraising speech to a New York crowd was interrupted by a group of hecklers who broke through at the tail end of her remarks to demand why she supported deporting their illegal family members.

Mateo Tabares, one of the protesters escorted from the meeting by security, said he simply wanted to find out why Mrs. Clinton opposed certain amnesty provisions pushed by President Obama, Business Insider reported.

The activists chanted “undocumented, unafraid” at the end of Mrs. Clinton’s speech, The Hill reported. But Mrs. Clinton simply ignored them and moved on. The Hill also reported that some of the protesters wore T-shirts with the message: “Will you deport my family?”

Mrs. Clinton also skipped out on responding to repeated questions from the media for her reaction to the impromptu protest, Business Insider reported. The fundraiser was aimed at raising aid for victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.

This is the second time in just a few days that Mrs. Clinton has been confronted by pro-amnesty activists. Several broached her at the handshake line during her Iowa fish fry to press for her support of Mr. Obama’s executive actions immigration. When asked if she was for or against Mr. Obama’s delay of executive action, Mrs. Clinton only said: “I think we have to just keep working,” she said, The Hill reported.
