LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Three-dozen health care centers in Michigan are being given more than $8 million in Affordable Care Act funding.
The announcement was made Friday by U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell. In all, $295 million was awarded to 1,195 health centers across the country.
According to HHS, the funding will enable the 36 Michigan health centers to hire more workers, stay open longer and expand the care they provide to include new services.
