Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin penned a reaction to President Obama’s speech on the Islamic State on her Facebook page, telling the commander-in-chief that if he can’t lead with boldness, then he’s better off stepping aside.

“War is hell. So go big or go home, Mr. President,” she wrote on Facebook. “Big means bold, confident, wise assurance from a trustworthy Commander-in-Chief that it shall be worth it. Charge in, strike hard, get out. Win.”

Mrs. Palin’s post followed Mr. Obama’s televised promise to “degrade and ultimately destroy” Islamic State terrorists — a complete flip-flop of his last few years’ views of overseas policy and one that won’t wipe out the fact that he’s to blame for this latest Middle Eastern turmoil, she wrote.

“The rise of the animalistic terror group, ISIS, is the result of Obama’s lead-from-behind foreign policy,” Mrs. Palin wrote. “He had broadcast his war strategy for all the enemy to see in Iraq. … Terrorists who we had under control got to regroup and grow.”

Mrs. Palin then criticized Mr. Obama’s “tough talking” as simply that — talk.

“Some tough talking speech is still just talk,” she wrote. “Go big and get real, Mr. President, if you’re really changed your mind again and now wish to engage.”
