Police have arrested a Selbyville, Delaware, mom after her daughter, age 4, was allegedly caught handing out bags of suspected heroin to other children at her daycare center.

Ashley Tull, 30, was arrested on charges of maintaining a drug property and on endangering the welfare of a child, Delaware State Police reported, CBS News said.

Police say the 4-year-old girl found the heroin bags in a backpack that her mother let her use. The backpack allegedly contained 249 bags of heroin, for a total weight of 3.7 grams, police said, CBS News reported.

Hickory Tree Child Care Center workers contacted police after they saw some of the children holding the bags. None of the bags were opened, daycare workers said. But some of the children were transported to the hospital anyway as a precautionary measure, CBS News reported.
