A commercial jet sitting on the tarmac at New York City’s Kennedy Airport was bumped from behind by a Royal Jordanian plane from Amman, Jordan, that had just flown in from Charleston, S.C.

The Jordanian plane was operating under the Delta name and was carrying 159 passengers, CBS News reported.

A spokesman for Republic Airways said the jet was parked and awaiting an order to approach the gate when the other plane’s nose came up and bumped its tail, CBS News reported. The accident occurred about 7 p.m. on Sunday, and maintenance crews took a look to see if there was any damage.
