CHICAGO (AP) - Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is scheduled to address college students for graduation in Chicago.
The Democrat will be commencement speaker at MacCormac College’s 110th graduation ceremony Friday in downtown Chicago.
Preckwinkle was a high school teacher and nonprofit organizer before she became Chicago’s 4th ward alderman and then president of the county board.
MacCormac is a private, two-year, not-for-profit school that is known for its court reporting program. The school also had the first program in paralegal studies in Illinois.
The school also offers degrees in criminal justice, business administration and entrepreneurship.
