NEW YORK (AP) - A man is dead after he was hit by an uptown Lexington Avenue Express subway at the 59th Street Station in Manhattan.

Transit officials say the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. Friday. It’s causing delays on the rush hour commute.

The police investigation is forcing all 4, 5 and 6 trains onto the local tracks between Grand Central-42nd Street and 125th Street.

Transit officials say they don’t have a timetable for the resumption of express service.
