BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 12-year-old boy is in custody after being arrested for shooting at a school bus.

No one was injured.

Baton Rouge police say the shooting happened Friday afternoon after the boy got into a fight with another student on the bus, which was taking them home from the Kenilworth Science & Technology Charter School. School spokesman Mark Lambert tells The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1fGiwZ6) roughly 30 students were aboard.

When the boy got off the bus, he ran inside his house and returned with a handgun, firing three shots that each hit the bus.

Police found the boy hours later and booked him into the East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Detention Center on six counts of attempted first degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property and juvenile possession of a handgun.
