PHOENIX (AP) - Police in Phoenix say they’re investigating two fatal accidents including one involving a pedestrian.

They say an SUV struck and killed a pedestrian about 6 p.m. Thursday on 32nd Street north of Thomas Road.

Details are sketchy at this time and accident investigators remain at the scene.

Hours earlier, police say there was a fatal crash at central Phoenix intersection.

Police say a woman in her 80s was killed. Her name wasn’t immediately released.

The scene at 16th Street and Highland Avenue was closed through the afternoon rush hour.
