SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Utah National Guard is honoring 100 years at Camp Williams with a weekend celebration.

Gov. Gary Herbert is set to speak at the May 17 event in Bluffdale.

The celebration coincides with the Iron Will races for mountain bikers, cyclers and runners.

Maj. Gen. Jeff Burton, adjutant general of the Utah National Guard, will also speak in advance of the morning races.

The event is free and open to the public. It is set to include police, fire and military displays. Organizers are also planning activities for children such as races, obstacle courses and bounce houses.

Surrounding towns, KUTV, and Evolo Events are helping to sponsor the Iron Will, which is set to hold seven different events during the celebration.
