WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - United Airlines will begin a daily roundtrip flight between the North Dakota oil patch hub of Williston and Houston on Aug.19.

U.S. Sen. John Hoeven made the announcement Tuesday. The North Dakota Republican says linking Williston to United’s Houston hub will help meet demand for expanded air service in western North Dakota.

Williston’s airport currently has four daily flights to Minneapolis through Delta Air Lines and four daily flights to Denver through United.

Tickets for flights between Williston and Houston are currently on sale.
