HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Montana’s unemployment rate fell to 5.1 percent in February, down two-tenths of a percentage point from January.

Labor Commissioner Pam Bucy says total employment in the state jumped with 3,090 jobs in February.

Total employment includes payroll employment plus agricultural and self-employed workers.

Gov. Steve Bullock in a statement Friday says the state’s economy continues to show strong growth and he looks forward to working with businesses to make sure the economy continues to grow.
