BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) - Kellogg Community College President Dennis Bona has been placed on non-disciplinary paid administrative leave pending an investigation into his interactions with college personnel.

Bona tells the Battle Creek Enquirer (https://bcene.ws/1gK3dyc ) for a story Friday that he has not yet hired an attorney and expects to return to work once the investigation is completed.

The newspaper reports that Bona was placed on leave Thursday by the school’s board of trustees.

Board treasurer Matt Davis said the investigation is not of a criminal nature. Outside legal counsel is conducting the probe.

Bona was named president of the Battle Creek school in 2010. He had served as vice president for instruction.
