OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt has named Chris S. Thrutchley as director of the Office of Civil Rights Enforcement.

Thrutchley has advised and trained employers in equal employment matters since 1993. He has partnered with employers to develop, implement and audit best employment practices, and has been a frequent author and speaker on employment law and human resources subjects.

Thrutchley is a former human resources director with responsibility for more than 3,250 employees.

He has served as chairman of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and vice president of Legal and Legislative Affairs for the Tulsa Area Human Resources Association.

The attorney general’s Office of Civil Rights Enforcement investigates complaints of discrimination that violate Oklahoma’s anti-discrimination statute.
