PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Two Rhode Island men have pleaded no contest to charges that they illegally collected unemployment benefits.

Attorney General Peter Kilmartin announced Wednesday that 44-year-old Adrian George of Cranston and 43-year-old Roosevelt Bonilla each entered their pleas Tuesday in Providence Superior Court.

George was sentenced 10 years of probation and ordered to repay $17,128 that authorities say he wrongly collected in unemployment benefits.

Bonilla was sentenced to 2 years of probation and ordered to repay $6,018.

Authorities say the men both failed to report income from jobs while they were obtaining unemployment benefits.
