DETROIT (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to headline a fundraiser for Michigan Democrats next month.
The Michigan Democratic Party announced Sunday that Clinton will speak at the annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner, which is scheduled for April 26 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Lon Johnson says in a statement that Clinton’s appearance will be a boost to the party’s efforts in the state this year.
Past speakers at the Michigan dinner include Vice President Joe Biden and former presidential contenders John Edwards and John Kerry.
