GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - The Georgia Department of Labor is continuing an effort to fill roughly 500 seasonal positions at the Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

Labor officials say the department is hosting a job fair Saturday and again March 29 at its Gainesville Career Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Officials say Saturday’s fair will focus on hiring lifeguards and water quality control workers at Lanierworld.

The March 29 event will focus on hiring for all positions including food service, culinary team members, admissions personnel and retail workers.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
