SAN DIEGO (AP) - A woman whose body was found smoldering on a rural dirt road has been identified as a 35-year-old San Diego County resident who once worked as an emergency medical technician.

The smoldering body of the Lakeside resident was found before dawn last Sunday in the Alpine area. Homicide detectives are investigating.
Harvey Hayes says Renee’s 14-year-old daughter came to live with him several years ago because Renee worked long hours as an EMT for Scripps Hospital. She lost her job after a wrist injury.
Postings on Renee’s Facebook page include photos of guns and of a swastika tattoo on her chest.
