TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Former president Bill Clinton, ex-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and their daughter Chelsea Clinton are hosting a student conference next week at Arizona State University.

The three-day event starting next Friday is the seventh annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University.

Undergraduate and graduate students will engage in developing solutions to pressing local, national and global problems. Topics include human rights, education, climate change, HIV/AIDS and women’s social and economic empowerment.

The students at the conference make commitments to action and receive seed money to help them solve the challenges.

The Clintons will be joined by U.S. Sen. John McCain and his wife Cindy; former Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly and comedian Jimmy Kimmel.

The Clinton Global Initiative was established in 2005.
